To the South East of Houston is a set of cliffs that are visible from much of town. For many that live here the Palisades are a bit of a hidden treasure. The Palisades is a short, but incredibly rewarding hike with incredible views of the Morice-Bulkley Valley, Morice Mountain, and the Telkwa Range. We recommend taking a vehicle with 4 wheel drive to access to the trailhead.

Bring a lunch, some binoculars, and maybe even a folding chair so you can fully enjoy the amazing views. You might spot some goat, or even some nesting hawks along the cliffs edge.
